Tick Tick, Swift Viral Swordfighter. One of the most overshadowed cards from Set 13, Eternal Phoenix. The power to mana ratio can't exactly be called good at 4mana 1k, but when we look at Tick Tick's wonderful ability, the power to mana ratio seems fair enough. What exactly is this wonderful ability of Tick Tick? We will come to that later. Right now, we will discuss the artwork of Tick Tick. One of the most interesting and gripping artworks in Duel Masters. Tick Tick is a Cyber Virus/Dragonoid. The background of the picture contains two rising domes with lava inside them. There are also some fish. Tick Tick's leering at us in the picture with that truly evil leer which clearly states, 'I am going to take over the world. Think you can do something?' Very Happy

Tick Tick is basically a lizard. His head and all of his back is covered in different-coloured stinging tentacles. All in all, an amazing artwork.

Tick Tick belongs to the race(s), Cyber Virus/Dragonoid.

Dragonoids are the most populous among all the creatures of Fire Civilization. Muscular and slightly larger than Humans, these two-legged creatures are recognized by their lizard-like features.

For Dragonoids, completing the mission is always first priority, regardless of the danger to themselves or their comrades. They possess a vicious, merciless nature, and are assured victory with their ability to make volcanoes erupt. Equipped with Iron and gunpowder, they themselves become living weapons during wartime.

Dragonoids worship Dragons. Their belief is that the bravest, most skillful warriors will be reincarnated as Dragons.

Cyber Viruses are luminous creatures artificially created by Cyber Lords. They can be as small as plankton or as big as an inchworm. Cyber Viruses can be found at work in reconnaissance satellites, concealed in microphones, implanted in antennas or computers. They are equally capable of disrupting the thought processes of a living creature as they are of causing machines to malfunction. An advanced Cyber Virus can even infiltrate computers and manipulate or rewrite programs.

Tick Tick looks a fairly decent card when you look at its ability. Whenever Tick Tick attacks, you may draw a card! It also has 'Speed Attacker.' which means that you can draw a card the turn you summon it. ^_^ It is a great card for Aggros and may even be used in some types of Controls. We may use it to fill in the Turn 4 drops in most Aggros. It can also be used in some nice combos. We can fill up our hand through it. Suppose that we are top-decking. We top-deck a Tick Tick and start filling up our hand! Obviously, it has certain drawbacks and disadvantages which will be discussed later on.

This deck is a R/U/B Control featuring Tick Tick. It focuses on the points on which all Aggroes focus. Yes, You guessed it. (Note: This deck was made in a hurry. It is obviously not good.)

Tick Tick certainly has a lot of weaknesses/disadvantages. First of all, 1000k for 4 Mana is a lot even looking at the ability. Then, we come to the bigger creatures and blockers. Tick Tick fails miserably in these situations. Who can forget the destructive Spells? Tick Tick can even be destroyed by cheap Spells like Crimson Hammer, Volcano Charger, Spastic Missile and Ten-Ton Crunch. Not to mention the fact that it has got a not-so-good race in the form of Cyber Virus. All in all, a card with many weaknesses/disadvantages.

Advantages:

- It has a freakin' nice ability. Very Happy

- Can be involved in some combos.
- One of the topmost cards you would wish to have in an Aggro.
- Comes from two really nice Civilizations.
- The picture's really mysterious and impressive.
- Has got one good race in the form of Dragonoid.

Disadvantages:

- A very bad power to mana ratio even looking at the ability.
- Completely fails in front of bigger creatures and blockers.
- Can be destroyed by cheap Spells. :?
- Comes from a not-so-good race in the form of Cyber Virus.

According to me, the card deserves 7.5/10. The advantages and the disadvantages of this card tend to balance each other. The marks obviously get deducted for those horrible disadvantages. :? Well, that's it for the day. Hope you enjoyed it.

yes. you get to draw a card for 1 mana more! rikabu is 3 mana 1k. tick tick is 4 mana 1k.

rikabu costs 3 mana, has 1k power, and has speed attacker.
tick tick costs 4 mana, has 1k power, also has speed attacker, and can draw a card.
so isn't tick tick rikabu that lets you draw a card for 1 mana more?
