Run-time error '429' - SOLVED!!! :D
Hi guys,
I have finally found how to solve the "Run-time error '429' - ActiveX component can't create object". To solve the error in DMC, just follow these 5 easy steps:
1. Make sure you have all components of DMC. (That is, the DMC 2.4 package, DMC 2.5 and Hamachi. The chats and decks and so on are not necessary to solve the problem.
2. Now test if you have that problem again. This is a crucial step as your computer may have some self-updating process that allows your programs to update automatically. Do this by opening DMC 2.5, clicking Load Deck, choosing the deck, clicking Select, and finally Use Deck. If the error appears again, proceed.
3. Search for "Microsoft Runtime Script" on any search engine, and download it onto both your computer (it will help you in other ways too!) and the DMC folder. Then repeat step 2.
4. If it shows a new error, namely "Run-time error '380' - Invalid property value", then all you have to do is copy your DMC 2.5 into your DMC 2.4 package folder. But first, rename the DMC 2.5 to the same name as your DMC 2.4 program first.
5. After this, you are done with solving the pesky error. Now sort your DMC components out carefully and run your newly ready DMC!!!
Hope this helps!
